Grades

Everyone take moment to log into OpenLab to check your grades and associated comments in the Gradebook. Many students have posted incomplete projects or quizzes which will affect your final semester grade.

  1. Do you have a grade for Quiz 1, Quiz 2&3, and Quiz 4?
  2. Check your posts for each project and compare with the Project Guidelines.
  3. Have you posted all parts of each project and included a written reflection? Are the Post title, Category and Tags correct? Are the posts formatted clearly?
  4. For each project, have you commented on another student’s work? See Providing Feedback to see if your comment follows the guidelines.

Ways of Seeing Critique

Let’s take a look at your Ways of Seeing posts on the class site. If you haven’t posted your work yet, please bring up your Flipbook on your computer so I can come around and take a look.

Lab: Proportional Color Harmony

Create a Proportional Color Inventory based on a favorite piece of graphic design, advertising, animation or film still, comic, graphic novel, or artwork. Find a reference that aligns with your personal creative vision. For example, if the main focus of your creative vision is “power”, then make sure you choose a color scheme reference that embodies “power”.

Final Color Harmony Composition: Next use any medium (digital, painting, collage techniques, etc.) to create a composition that directly references the Proportional Color Inventory you created above.
