Course Description:
In this class students will build on skills learned in AD550. Topics include
advanced XHTML and CSS, JavaScript, multimedia integration and an introduction
to Flash. Students will design and construct professional working websites
following contemporary web and accessibility standards.
A course goal is for each student to publish their work on external information servers, make class presentations and write web content and proposals. At the end of the semester each student must present all complete class projects on the FTP server.
Prerequisites:
Completion of AD550
Working knowledge of XHTML, CSS, Photoshop/Image Ready and Illustrator

Attendance Policy:
Points are taken away from your final grade for each class you arrive late
to or are absent from. Two lates equal one absence. If you are more than
15 minutes late to class, you will be marked absent.
You are permitted to be absent from class a maximum of three class sessions. This is in accordance with college policy that sets the maximum number of permissible absences at 10% of the number of class meetings scheduled for the semester.
Labs:
You will be working on projects, tests and assignments
for at least two hours outside of class. If you don't have a computer at
home you will need to utilize the ADGA Labs during the
week or on the weekends. Check the ADGA Department Posters to find out exact
hours and days. You may also use the 4th Floor Student Lab,
the Learning Center lab or the ePortfolio lab

Grade:
- 60% projects and/or assignments
- 15% class participation and learning blog
- 25% quizzes
