Before critiquing your partner's Midterm Project, review the Midterm Project Description to see the requirements for the project. Your critique will NOT affect your partner's grade, but it WILL affect yours.

Give your partner constructive criticism relating to the use of XHTML structure and CSS presentation.

  • Review the site with and without the stylesheet turned on (View > Page Style > No Style).
  • View the XHTML source (View > View Source) and the CSS source (URL/main.css). Make sure the source contains all the required elements and styles.
  • Validate at least two pages in the site: http://validator.w3.org/. Note the errors - in general.
  • Comment on the use of color scheme, contrast, balance, alignment, graphic style, visual hierarchy, appropriateness for target audience, typography, and legibility. Phrases like "It's hot" and "I like it" are not acceptable without a detailed explanation of the "hotness" and "likeableness".
  • Note how the website is successful and how the website can be improved, based on the guidelines of the project.
